Using his pen as a powerful weapon, Ei8ht made the transition from Lyricist to Journalist. Keeping his-self active and relevant in the Hip Hop community, the Bronx native began writing and conducting interviews for numerous websites and magazines including Sohh.com, Feds Magazine, Billboard.com, and Raptalk.net. Ei8ht would also become Editor in Chief at HHLO.NET and has even had some of his articles appear on popular blog sites such as Thisis50.com. Known for his trademark interviewing style the SD General Ei8ht has interviewed the likes of Mobb Deep, Jay-Z, Ja-Rule, Irv Gotti, Sheek Louch, Russell Simmons and more.

His non-traditional style and his blunt attack on certain “fraudulent” rap artist has made this self made man a hot commodity in the media realm. Unfazed by stardom, and unimpressed with fame, Ei8ht now takes his slick talk and witty personality to the airwaves as the host of street disciplez radio.

Mara, better known as The Hip-Hop Socialite, is a woman of many talents. A former attorney and sometime model, the Wilmington, NC native got her feet wet in the industry when she accepted an offer to work on a temporary basis in the promotions department of Interscope/Geffen/A&M records (IGA). She took full advantage of her time with IGA by learning everything there is to know about the industry from the label’s executives. It was there where she first began to put her experiences with the industry onto paper, putting to good use the writing skills she acquired while earning her Juris Doctor degree from the law school at Wake Forest University.

In 2008, Mara embarked on a new career journey in the field of journalism. Since that time, she has interviewed and written stories on what reads like a who’s who of hip-hop and R&B, including hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Caz, Jadakiss, Maino, J. Holiday, and Day 26, among others. Her work has appeared on multiple websites, including HHLO.net, YoRaps.com, GlobalGrind.com, and BlackCityMag.com, and in magazines such as Parle and City Scenes Magazine, the latter of which she serves as features editor. Her own website, TheHipHopSocialite.com, has been referenced by AllHipHop.com, UrbanInSite.com, and HipHopWeekly.com since its launch last May.

After spending a year hosting the celebrity gossip segment of a local television show, Mara redirected her focus on launching a career in radio. In early 2009, she joined Street Disciplez Radio, the most controversial and headline grabbing radio show on the net.

Vincent “The Republican” Gruosso began his pursuit for a career in acting and entertainment in New York City before moving to Los Angeles to study Radio-TV-Film. Along with his numerous television, major and independent short film roles, Vince has also worked as a pro-soccer commentator for Major League Soccer/NY Red Bulls.

In August of 2009, Vince took his commentary to another platform by joining Street Disciplez Radio as one of its co-hosts. Known for his delivery of the controversial “Late Night Negro News,” Vince has also displayed his acting ability on many comedy skits for SDTV, a spin-off television show of Street Disciplez Radio.
